As if it isn't enough that I have to take mega amount of steroid each day now I have got THRUSH in my gullet from them. Oh well I suppose I can be thankful the endoscopy I had last Thursday didn't show up anything more sinister. I had been bit apprehensive expecting the worst...That would have meant cancelling our trip - flying off to UK on 28/7. So now I can think about packing!!! Woopie Of course I have another pill to add to my many - hopefully to clear up the thrush. Cheers Alice

Lots of plain yoghurt (Greek is good) for thrush. Works well, or a probiotic maybe, Yakult is excellent. Hope you get it cleared up before you take off - happy travels.

Thanks for advice. Will get stuck into the yoghurt. In Maroochydore at present. Came down here to have medical test. Tomorrow I go by train to Rockhampton to join Keith who is at Westwood (daughter's place).

Hi Kandangal, Sorry to hear you are not well. I also have had this. The only way I got rid of it was I cut out 99% sugar. took inner health plus acidofilus capsule. I ate fruit. the sugar I am referring to is biscuits, cakes, in coffee and tea, on cereal, etc. I began making my own pikelets without sugar and put honey and butter on it. (this was wonderful and did not affect me) but as soon as I had a biscuit I had gut thrush back again. Also had 3 dates per day with another piece of fruit and a glass of water. Also found if the whole thing from mouth to bottom were working smoothly the thrush disappeared also. Have been on somac for gerd. also find if the gut thrush is under control so is the gerd. (gastro oesophageal reflux disorder). I sometimes eat some sugar now but make sure the next 2 days I do not. am much better. good luck. regards. rocket n strop
