thinking of having my auto serviced, driving 2005 Nissan Parthfinder R51 Disel, I read or heard about some replacement part you can have fitted, think it was called nomad auto, has any one fitted anything to their auto which improved the performance of the transmission and if so how did it improve the towing. I am towing a Roadstar duel axel, approx 2.6 ton fully loaded and yes I have had it weighed a public weigh station.

Searching on your term only brought up two references. One is this one. The other one brought up another forum which included this
I had wholesale fit up all of thier stuff to my trans. 80 series 1hdft, auto. Made my trans run hotter & the trans fiuld was black after 6000ks. I was charged $500 for them to fix the problem. & they will not tell me what was wrong with it. My trans is now leaking fliud out the front & rear seals & has to be removed agian. I upgraded the trans cooler's aswell. They wont be touching my trans agian

As excessive heat is one of the biggest killers of Auto Trans I would start with a seperate oil cooler.*** Changing the Auto fluid and internal filter at regular 24 month intervals will also help.
*** most transmissions die because the fluid is subjected to excessive heat, this inturn re-acts with the internal piston seals making them hard and allowing fluid to bypass. A classic symptom is a transmission that will not engage when cold yet when warmed up will move.

Yep fluid turns into little bits of carbon plus material from bands etc.. These block up the valve body .. Good trans cooler and changing ATF often is cheap insurance.. Make sure the right fluid is put back in ..

And don't believe it when people from toyoto and ford tell you their transmissions don't require servicing and are sealed for life
Every 50000 in my book
