Even though I have/use a flat reel Cotton hose (given to me by our son) swhen in a caravan park, I do use a food grade hose when filling the tanks.

Brought ours from the green shed, had trouble finding small local company that could supply my needs, it is a white marine grade hose used for filling boats when at the marina. The hose won't mine laying about in the sun.
The price was few dollars more and by memory was a coupe of metres longer then usual about $40 with stainless steel fittings.
Also I have a best of all in line filter for about $110 great value helps to remove some of the nasties from your water.
In this caravan over the last few years we are away about 20 weeks a year touring and no water problems.
Before filling tank I do try to make a cuppa, preferably coffee as it seems to bring out the worst in water for me.
Hope this helps. Ralph.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ralph, went to several local RV suppliers today and the general consensus is the white round food grade hose and the inline filter you mentioned in your post, also a hose bag To keep it all neat and tidy. Thegraynomads is a great forum thank you again regards Wayne.
