The male part of my 12v TV (cigarette lighter type connection) has broken and I have purchased a cigarette lighter connection power source for my Teac TV from Jaycar. The male connection does not seem to fit into the Anntennatek 12V Socket Wall Plate to power the TV. (see attached photo). I have searched the website of the company but cannot find the replacement part needed. Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase the cord to power my Teac TV.
It is very difficult to see the plug in the pic it appears the plate has an "F" connector for the tv and is it a 2 pin round plug that supplies the DC in to tv via the lead ?

The 12V socket is a standard cigar lighter style socket. If the plug in the cord you bought has a standard cigar lighter plug, it should fit. Is it just a tad tight maybe?. Post a pic of the plug on the cord you bought?

It is what I think it is you can get a little converter with the screw fitting one end and the normal TV antenna fitting the other. I got a few from Jaycar but also have seen then in JB Hi Fi and Dick Smith. The big black circle in the pic looks like a standard 12v cig socket to me. Sorry for the techie talk though
Edit.....I only just yesterday replaced my original TV for a 24" Teac DVD combo and everything was the same so just used the cables and plugs from the other TV. All works great.

You will find it is just a tight fit. Push harder and all will be good. It is better this way as it is less likely to vibrate out when travelling.

Dragonfly1, apparently there is a minor difference in size between Euro cars and Japanese cars in socket size, but it's only a millimeter or so difference. If it's a big difference in size it is probably a merit plug, which is much smaller than a cigar lighter socket.
