AS The Heading said. I'm not happy, I called into a Coles Supermarket last Tuesday and saw a big display of jars of Coffee on special for an incredible $2.00 per 100gm ,
I grabbed a couple of jars and took them home, after opening a jar and liking the taste, I returned to the store on Saturday to purchase some more, "shock Horror" the price had almost doubled, they were now selling the same jars at $3.99,
I complained to the counter attendant about the difference but only got the answer, "You can complain but there is nothing I can do about it"
So much for their saying, " Our prices are coming down and staying down" What a load of Crock. !!

Check your labels as a lot of the coffee is Indonesian and Brazillian and are sold under the Nescafe brand (not as good as the original 43 beans)

Gday...
Whilst Coles has their "down down prices are staying down" prices ... they also have weekly, and sometimes only daily, specials.
Their weekly specials run from Wednesday to the following Tuesday.
Perhaps you simply bought at the end of one weekly price cycle (Tuesday), and returned in the following (now not applicable) price cycle on the Saturday.
Cheers - - John

Nothing wrong with Brazilian Coffee. Or do you mean they process the beans in Brazil as well. Either way, it's instant and not real coffee anymore anyway

Hi ya 03Troopy, the jar of Brazilian coffee that I ended up with was not a quality coffee and the Indonesian was very weak.

Amazing.
You state that it is a 'special" but then you want it available for that price forever.
Why don't you just shop at Woolworths or IGA and not go to Coles at all.

I shop at Coles because they usually have good meat at a reasonable price, far cheaper than Woolworths, and a bigger variety than IGA,
I've checked what the label on the jar states, It said that the Coffee is 100% Arabian and it is Made in Germany with Imported ingredients.
You could be right John, it could well have been at the end of the promotion period but, there was nothing to say as such on the display, I also noticed that the Coffee was only available at one store so, I wonder if it was a small import just to try the market, anyway it was darn good flavoured brew, that's the reason I went back for more and if I find some more I'll grab all I can,
