The reason for the sign is that it is not possible to know where the low points on the road are until you hit the water.

No Nomes ... no ownership of that one .... was sent to me as a 'tongue-in-cheek- larf .... the irony of Strayan outback .... dead dry, desolate and a sign warning of flood.
Made me larf but I guess I must sit on my humour
