My wife and I had our first "Seachange" when we left Australia on 1.1.2000 to do some teaching overseas. Sixteen years of that nomad existence came to an end last Sunday. We have been wandering the world and living out of suitcases and working happily throughout Asia and the Pacific.
Now it's time to see Australia, slowly. Ideally, we would love to just empty our suitcases into a van and Set off next week. Finding a van and vehicle could prove a challenge. Finding something late model and ready to go would be a bonus. If not, we will set up ourselves.
I am sure we will have many questions to place on this forum. We have done lots of research about what we would like to see and can't wait to leave. We have outback teaching registration and some other skills between us so we are also hoping to do some work to keep our minds and bodies active.
Australia, here we come! Our second Seachange!

Hi everyone,
I'm a real newbie to this and thought a forum would be good place to get ideas and make new friends.
Bought my first van 2 days ago while visiting friends and my daughter in Hervey Bay before heading Sth to my next housesit.
Parked at friends place till I return in Nov to spend my first night in it. it will be my 'home 'to come home to in between housesits.
I won't be travelling around with it like real grey nomads do as I only have small car and unable to do the hitch up etc routine.
Like reading your posts and might even get to meet a few of you.
Kind regards
Wendy
