hi all, I got sick to death of belting my head on the windows, so the pool noodles, also use them on the rafters and outside on the awning tie down. These stop the grandies from hurting themselves.
I hate pool noodles! They take so long to cook and taste shocking...
Good idea using them as bump protection on the window, we used similar but a bit more robust lagging tube for the sharp edges (heaps on F-18's) under and around aircraft when I worked on them.

If you cook them for a week and cover them with chilli sauce they tend to be tasty BUT are much better on F 18s or as I have shown.. we could of used them around some of the birds I worked on as well.. I think they were more concerned with FOD in my days.
Then again, pool noodles weren't invented..
Cheers Troopy, hope you are well mate..

Love this idea and will utilize it next trip. We are always hitting something in the van to the point where we keep a score card.......Humans 4, Caravan 10. Between boots, windows, the doorway and the cupboards I think the Caravan is well ahead.

You certainly used ya noodle there Phil.
Hitting your head on the window could explain a few things though

We also use the noodles as a warning guide on all our guy ropes. - cut them into about 30 to 45 cm and then cut a slit in the section to allow the noodle to slip over the rope. Save tripping over the ropes. But above all highlights the guy ropes for anybody walking by our rig set up.
Also use same for windows.
Great ideas here on this forum.

Saw them today on wind screen wipers in the snow. To protevt the screens from ice. On another use, very useful we when drifting down hot springs in northern territory

I also used a part of a noodle cut it at 45 deg and put it between Drivers Mirror and door, held in with Velco to stop Towing Mirror from coming in when trucks pass, also has a bit of give.
