We used one of those to load games/programs on our TRS80 model 1 level 2 computer. They preceded floppy discs and you were real big time if you owned one!.

Still got mine. Find it hard to find tapes now, most young ones look at you funny when you ask.

Lost count of how many TANGLED cassette tapes we've seen that have been thrown out of someones car window. LOL.

Sure did used to edit an announce the next song on the tape jeees I hope they never get found and played that could be embarrassing

My Nissan Patrol still has a tape deck in it ...along with a CD player and am/fm Radio....and it all still works well. Only catch is to rewind tapes right through if they haven't been played for a while...and then they are good to go.

I remember when Cassette tapes were the new technology, and we didn't believe they'd be any good because the narrower dimensions of the tape meant that they wouldn't be able to hold as much information as the old reel to reel, and hence a reduced sound quality. Of course better magnetic material on the tape, and better recording heads made that theory nonsense. Now I can fit in excess of 250 hours of CD quality music on something as small as your thumbnail.
