From my knowledge, I always receive feed back, but if I were not to have this happen, then I think I would post another question asking why???
This site is a great college for education re RV.

Most seem to say thanks and possibly that's all you can expect as feedback. The ones that bug me are when they ask a question and get 10 or so answers but only say thanks to only one of the replies - the others who offered advice are seemingly ignored. I guess that's just life.

The ones that really pee me off are the ones that do not supply much detail when asking a question. When you ask for more details they don't answer your request for those details. This then leaves the respondents p155ing in the wind.

I agree, that's my biggest bugbear on this forum.
I have, in the past, spent hours of legal and technical research for people and nothing.
You can see they get on line after the help given, so must be looking but narry a word quite often.

I think part of the issue is that you need to manually subscribe to the thread to get notifications that someone has responded.
Other forums I have been involved in would automatically subscribe you to a thread that you responded to ensuring that you were notified if someone responded.
Just a thought
cheers

But if you ask a question you would think you would follow the thread for an answer and if you get an answer all you have to do write "Thanks "

True
But nothing like getting an email to prompt you..

Why worry about it? Someone asks a question you give what you believe is an answer that might be useful, others do the same, maybe the person finds something useful, maybe not. Who cares? More to life than expecting grovel grovel Oh thank you, thank you so much.
Just be thankful you think you have enough knowledge to have been able to answer.
On a different note I have seen as an answer to a reasonable question. "Never had one of those I know nothing about them". Unless the question was directed directly to you, why answer at all if that's the case.

It also maybe useful to others to know the solution to the problem that was asked about in the first place.

X2. Isn't this an integral part of having a forum.

Yeah I have found that with my recent electrical maintenance post, only a few had the decency to respond. I believe it was important to put something up there. AND I'm not on an ego trip lol
Cheers

Tommy I think you have misinterpreted what the general thrust of this thread is.
MOST who prove info want to know:
1 IF the problem/issue is solved
2 To SHARE the info with other who may find the solution with their problem.
You are the only person I've EVER known to call it "grovel grovel".
IMHO your post lacks substance.
