Just opened todays mail. A letter from JAYCO SYDNEY.
We wish to inform you that on 30th June 2015 the current Business is to cease.
In its place a new company, Caravan Haven Pty Ltd will commence and continue trading as Jayco Sydney as of the 1st July 2015.
What's gone wrong with Millho PTY LTD.?
Why.
No explanation with the letter, as to the change.
All deposits received under Millho P/L T/A Jayco Sydney will still be held against our Purchase.
Can anyone explain to us, why they would do this please. We are very concerned.

There could be many reasons and the most common is simply the business has been sold as a going concern and the Trading Name is transferred and continues no matter which company is behind it.
As far a your deposit is concerned it looks as if it's safe and part of the business settlement is that the old company declared your deposit to the new company and it will be transferred to the new company, so no worries.
There could be other reasons but it sounds as if your deposit along with other money owing/debts etc was part of a normal sale.
Hope it works out OK.

why don't you go onto Jaycos website. They have a contact email and 1300 ph service there. Email or phone them and ask - they will know as they would have approved whatever the change is. You can also express your anger at that letter not telling you why...........

Hi Bruce & Bev,
They have not responded to call us. The LETTER not even addressed to us. BLANK................ ENVLOPE written by hand with stamped sender on back.
Not the way I would conduct my Business.
We are after all registered CLIENTS With JAYCO SYDNEY.( IN THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM WE HOPE). With our hard earned savings handed over. Great way to hand over the Reins Regardless.
GREAT WAY TO LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR RETIREMENT DREAM. PUT YOUR SELF IN OUR PLACE.
REGARDS JIM & LAMBIE

Jim - I wasn't making light of your post - my suggestions about contacting Jayco Australia (not Sydney) were totally serious. I can understand how you must feel about it - I would be worried give who unprofessionally it was communicated to their customer base
Have you gone onto the Jayco web site and phoned the 1300 number?
They have a National Customer Service Manager who is very customer service driven (cant say the same about the company though) and he will give you answers. I had some long emails with him about new 'vans last year and my new van wasn't even a Jayco. But he acknowledged my complaints and forwarded my emails onto Jaycos G.M (he sent me copies showing he had forwarded them onto this person - but no response from the G.M)

JIm PLEASE DON'T WORRY ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS
I've bought/sold several businesses and if this is a normal sale (and I believe it is otherwise Jayco wouldn't allow the name to be used) the old business usually keeps it's own computers, bank accounts, stationery and the like, whilst the new business has to get started with all the new info from scratch.
I would suggest that the Jayco database was a normal part of the sale as was the business name. The new company has your details so they were passed on and they probably wanted to tell you first before you hear about these things on the rumour mill.
Yes the letter could have been better I admit, but sometimes the info is more important than the method of conveying it.
