We have had one of these for 12mths. Love it. My husband couldn't get his head around BBQing with the lid closed. With this he can prod and poke his steak to his hearts content. We only use the open grill with the lid closed to bake things. The other benefit is they both can be placed inside Baby Q for travel purposes.

Pete fashioned a piece of pool fencing to fit over the burner so he can cook stir-frys in ours. Works like a dream.

You can still use it with the lid down, but only on the lowest setting, great for cooking bacon & eggs.

I got an Aldi plate but I bent the handles down, no need to cut them off, perfect fit on the Baby Q.
Cooked with the lid DOWN!
