Sometimes when people get something for free they don't value it

Saw examples on road between Hebel at St George - road side stops without toilets people have been defecating behind water tanks quite unpleasant really and disappointing to see when so close to picnic table and rest area

I do not condone the practice by any means but sometimes "When you have to go you have to go" I usually take a fold up shovel with me but by God is that Spinifex sharp.

this ABC report has been posted by another member........
I always reckon that in WA it only snows around the ride side stops - all the toilet paper that has been dumped on the ground, dried out and then blown to get hooked up in nearby bushes. Luckily in other States it rains more often and the paper rots down more, so the problem is the same, just not so obvious.
SA is the worst in Australia for lack of public toilets - someone needs to have a squat on the Tourist Ministers door step. Only 2 public toilets in the almost 1000km between Pt Augusta and Coober Peedy. Yet heaps of expensive open side drive through roofs which is often usued by backpackers to camp under in their whizz bangs over night.
In WA the long distance truckies are not provided with in flight hosties or toilets. Nor are they given paper or shovels. You see truckies stop on the side of the road, get out in front of other parked road users with a roll of toilet paper and disappear behind the nearest bush. No doubt the same in other States. Not the fault of the truckies - but of the trucking companies who should supply cabs with a suitably enclosed porta pottie - and we're talking about Toll (Chinese owned) and Fox - the biggies who can easily afford it. No doubt the same in other States

................................................................................. The other thread was posted first Bruce, but you have raised a good point, and that is to make your titles on threads clearer so they are not accidently duplicated by someone else.

At least take shovel with you .. Quarter pounders with white flag on top at least prevents one standing on them!
Gday...
Looks like another spot suffering from too much "recreation"
No breakup of 'campers/tourists' ... but either way it has been all illegal apparently.
