You are a bit tough Jim
Maybe it is some poor bugga out on a oil rig in Bass Strait and can't get on shore to check it out mate
A camper would be very handy on a oil rig I reckon.

Hi Doug,
You trying to take the micky out of me.
I seem to remember a story about a month back that a " rig worker " sob story ploy. on Email would send money.
This is part of our retirement and into our new van for my Lambie plan.
Will meet up one day soon over lunch, and continue this sarga. You may run, but you can't hide. I will use GOOGLE EARTH or Email or some tect GPS way. De world is getting smaller you know.(May bring a whole lot of other GN with us, if their zimmer 's can keep up) By the time Lambie has finished in your ear, you'll need a hearing aid or to.
Serious Doug how do they get this info.

Must be something in the air - this morning I advertised a porta cot on Gumtree for $20 and just got an email about if it was still available - replied ring and I'll give address. The email actually comes via Gumtree and the enquirer does not see your email address.
Good Luck.

Need to correct you. No oil rig in Bass Straight. There're all in some fancy name off NZ shore.

I opened a new gmail email address for our local Mens Shed and within 24 hours I had spam trying to sell services to our Mens Shed. It has me baffled how they knew it was a Mens Shed email address as I hadn't used it to communicate with anyone at that time. The email address name does not refer to a Mens shed as it would be impossible to link it to such.
The email address is only put in our local news sheet which comes out once a month. I get a lot of spam using my name to my main email address. They seem to harvest the names and email addresses easy.

I have already spoken to my friend the Mayor and the red carpet will be out for sure on your arrival Jim. Then I will hide behind a big rock until you have left
Now, to get back on topic, scams are a daily occurrence these days and we all must keep our eyes and ears in good nick not to let them fool us. Seems a lot of these scammers work on oil rigs.
