We left Roma with all things in good working order and travelled down to
Dirranbandi where we stayed the night now $25pn . Nice little park.
From there we travelled to Lightning Ridge and stayed at the Lightning Ridge Tourist Park.
The managers Brooke & Mark are very friendly. Brooke is 5 months pregnant and does
most of the work around the place, she also has 2 toddlers as well.It may not be as fancy
as some of the others but it's friendly atmosphere is great. Happy hour can be fun.
Some of the locals are quite interesting. It was market day today, Opals everywhere.
Tomorrow we head for Galargambone.
The end of this journey is 7 days away. Southwards

I reckon the worst part of any trip is the end of it.
Gulargambone will be a surprise for you. It is a great little park in a struggling rural town.
have a safe trip

Sounds great so far PP, what is the price at Lightning Ridge Tourist Park, please.
If Brooke is pregnant and does most of the work around the place, what does Mark do Does he sit out front on a chair, showing a bit of leg with a welcome sign
KFT, what is the surprise at the G, mate Please stay on topic though

G'Day Dougwe,
Price at the park is $28pn, and Mark, as Brooke puts it,goes out and shifts dirt,
he calls it looking for opals. when he isn't doing that he helps Brooke. When you call in at the Info Centre
they give you the prices of all the parks. They also have an idea of how many vacancies each park has.
