Wanting to up grade from our EU1 to a EU2 to run the AC in new van. Does anyone know of sales on new units at this moment. I have found $1689.00 pick up.

Advertised "special" price in various magazines has recently increased from $1699 to $1799

Usually the cheapest is The Generator Place - you'll find them on-line and they have a branch in Perth - I got next day delivery to Yanchep and its part of the price along with the cover, thick plastic coated combo lock and 2 x 2 lt bottles of oil. They had a price for the EU2 on their web page, but when I phoned them, expecting to pay that price, he charged me $200 less - said it was one of their regular promos

The price at The Generator Warehouse is usually the cheapest however I was most unimpressed with the carriers they choose to deliver..I was in Heathcote Vic with large number of the house clearly on the front letter box and my then $1799 Honda generator deal was left on the door step/front verandah of a house 5 doors down...driver dropped it there and they apparently weren't home when delivered <I was at home>..it was only through the honesty of these folk who I did not know, that I got my Generator..delivered by these honest folk next day...
..These cheapo warehouses are only as good as their el cheapo delivery carriers, which are invariably included ""free"" in the deal......I complained to Generator Warehouse and of course they pass the buck to their carriers who did not care less because they are guaranteed their constant work, and are obviously on tight time schedules...far too busy to look or care where they throw the item so long as they are rid of it.....never again with them for me....even though its a great Honda generator and those extras they ""give"" are very handy...any Company that does not require a written signature in acknowledgement of delivery I will not do business with....if this had been the requirement in my case this moron would have had to deliver to the correct address.....which was clearly on the package...I chose the Honda over the equivalent Yamaha they also sell, because the Honda has two outlet points and the Yamaha only has one...a fact rarely mentioned by salespeople......Hoo Roo

Check out EBay, often an almost new one for around half price.
Hey Goldfinger. Maybe your moan to The Generator Place had some effect.
I bought mine by phone from their Melbourne call centre about 8 months ago and got it delivered to a remote township on the edge of Perth.
It went though two local Perth courier companies. The one that delivered it to me found the 1st time I wasn't home and left a card for me to phone HER (had bigger biceps than my thighs !!) at home. I did that and she bought it around after tea that night, BUT I did have to sign for it. Maybe Generator Place have changed since your poor service experience and complaint.
They even emailed me about two days later to check it had arrived and that it was undamaged and that all the extras were inside the box. They also gave me at 1800 ph no to call if I had any initial problems with it - separate to any warranty claim.

Wow. Bruce and Bev, I'm come all over...I reckon my firm/very direct complaint may have improved their regard for 'customer care' with deliveries...well done in your case..
If I deal with them again I will get them to confirm prior, that this is now their standard practice...in either case with those biceps she no doubt receives very few complaints....lmao...Hoo Roo

Jim...suggest you check that the Honda 2 will in fact power the AC in your van even if it means taking van to the shop for a trial run......mine didn`t and wouldn`t with Honda left very red faced but no admission of responsibility.
