A mate of mine brother made a caravan insurance claim with Suncorp and was ask to show service records for the caravan , He didn't have any so because it was hail damage they ok the claim but was told the the insurer was wanting proof that the caravan is well maintain , So he does his own servicing so he is going to kept record of his services , I check out a caravan service place $275 for single axle $375 for double axle , Now that could be something to keep an eye out for going forward

Insurance companies have asked for service records in certain instances for years.
Had a car stolen and torched a few years ago. RACQ Insurance put the payout value at the higher end of the scale purely on my proven service records.

If my car was stolen so would the service records be as they live in the glovebox.

the Insurance co might have justification for asking for service records if the wheels fell off your van or some other sort of mechanical, electric or gas damage resulted in a claim.
You need to check your policy to see if such services are required to be done by an "authorized" person - like a Dealer or repairer. Otherwise if you claim you do your own servicing (given that servicing a caravan - as opposed to a motorhome with a motor in it - is pretty basic), it would be hard for them to show you don't have the necessary skills.
In the case of 3rd party damage - a vehicle runs into you, or its stolen or severe weather, like hail - they really are pushing it up hill to deny the claim.
A complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman would quickly sort them out I suspect
