Not sure but I think there is a drop of water behind that third rock from the right mate.
Not good, I think a lot of QLD is like that as it was a very dry wet season from what I am hearing here in the tropics.

We were there mid March and the water level was starting to look pretty low. There were a herd of steers in prime condition and still plenty of feed at that time. Breaks your heart to see it like this. Poor buggers trying to make a living out there.

Fletcher creek is spring fed so the water table must be very low. Did you go down to see if there is any water in the Burdiken?

We notice the landscape getting drier and drier as we are head to Rubyvale to spend a few days with friends on our way to Darwin and they have said they are extremely low on water so we will fill up everything that will hold water and take there. Whatever is left in the auxiliary containers we will drop into their water tanks. As much as I don't like the idea of driving in the rain I certainly hope they get some soon

Yes I did Bill ..
Burdiken is dropping rapidly at the moment .. very green in colour now ..
At Bivuac Junction where the Fanning enters the Burdiken, the Fanning has now stopped flowing on the surface but the
water-table is still showing some seepage at the junction ..
.. this pic shows the Burdikan behind Fletchers .. some water almost visible on the far side !!
So true Pam .. it's life as we now know it, so we adjust or miss out ..

Its bloody dry here, and I would hate to go out west. We had the hottest and driest summer on record in Townsville region. We had 12 inches , last wet season when we usually get 45 inches. It looks green here, but the creeks haven,t run. I am glad I make my living on the sea. Bill

I took these in late September 2014. Quite a difference in just a few months.

The strange thing is the water in Theresa Creek at the Bridge, has risen. Not sure where it comes from but a few weeks ago I could walk on dry sand on the river side of logs, a good couple of metres. This time the logs were in the water.
Great to catch up with you Michael and Barb, hope you found the big one.
