Enjoy. Interesting cemetery there - just watch for aggressive semi wild cattle in the grounds. Neat little river and green grass shores right at the end of the township. Probably a raging river with the rain further north

At the moment the rain is all south of where we are heading.

Chinaman's pool just outside of Marble Bar is a great spot for a stop, Carawine Gorge can get a bit soft as you get close to the water. In years gone by it was a "hidden gem" until the black top was put through, my boys spent many a weekend floating around in truck inner tubes fishing rod in hand in their younger days.

I was last there about 5 yrs ago and there were still hard sand/gravel right into the water at the Gorge. Its very pretty because you walk down about 5 metres to the easy spots and its so pleasant - lots of green leaved trees and the water is pleasant to swim in.
You will be surprised how many people live in MB. The shop staff are a mixed bunch - some will treat you rudely and the others very friendly and full of local info - like where the cemetery is (a great insight to that areas 1st settlers - and the agro cattle), the swimming hole and the Gorge - both are a quick and easy drive from the township
