Sorry for the short notice. I only just found out myself.
Boonah Showgrounds is holding a heavy horse and Scottish weekend on 30 & 31 May 2015. (this w/end )
Have a look at the link for the events FB page giving all the details.
Plenty of room for 'vans etc. at the showgrounds.
We arrived today & with any luck I'll find my kilt in storage & be dressed in style for the w/end.

Chopit,
I would have liked to have seen that.
Post some pictures if you can.
Had a little bit to do with heavy horse as a kid and as for being Scottish, my ggGrandfather, a Scottish lad, came out to Van Diemans Land as a convict in the early 1800s so that might just get me through the gate. Might not too !
Take it easy.

They had the Carlton & United Brewery draughthorses last year, my friend's dad used to handle them. Huge, but docile animals. Boonah is a great little town to visit as well.

Thanks for the pics Jules, that is my old home town. if there was a fellar there with a van full of speakers etc that would have been my brother inlaw. beautiful horses, my grandfather had some unlike tractors they didnt tip over and were so gentle to ride.
