I know that many have a Aluminium Toolbox on back of Van or M/Home - for those that haven't - I've just picked one up (to suit Honda 2 Kva generator) at Tools in a Box, Hoxton Park Rd, Prestons NSW 2170. only cost $138 great value when you consider the Tong brand at $530 - The normal list price at Toolbox is $150 (but he gave me an Police/Emergency services discount. Good quality Heavy Gauge Aluminium with gasket all around door seal. They even included a small battery operated light that actuates when door opens. Got to be the best value in NSW. they are on the net http://www.toolsinabox.com.au/

Had our gennie box custom made for around $350. Otherwise other normal retail boxes would have blocked out our tail lights

In WA, the allowable overhang from the centreline on the rear/back axle is 33% of the wheelbase. Unfortunately , I had to remove my generator and mounting cage as it was 225mm overlenghth.
