Have a Dometic RM2350 3 way in my RV and the 12v is not working. All the info I can access refers to caravans with 7 pin connections, but not very helpful for my RV. Can anyone enlighten me as to the wiring and installation specs in an RV and as to my possible problem. I am thinking the 12v element, but have as yet to test it, a bit of a novice to 12v wiring.

A van with a 7 pin plug will have the fridge connected through pin 2. When you ordered the fitting of the tow bar and socket did you specifically order a hot wire from your battery to pin 2 in the socket? If you did not then there probably was not one installed. If so there will be no power going to the fridge.

More info required on RV (assume motorhome). Manufacturer and model? Is the fridge an original fitment or later changeover? Do you have a wiring diagram in Dometic manual supplied with fridge? are you able to access rear of the fridge? Many MH manufacturers apparently still doing their own thing with regard to 12volt, so general wiring specs are a pipe dream.

]The instruction manual for the fridge will show how it should be wired

First & simplest check is to confirm you are getting 12V @ the 12V element when the fridge is turned on
IF not @ the element, @ the FRIDGE 12V terminals
Are you trying to run the fridge on 12V without the engine running??
