Had a bit of a problem putting the awning in this morning, one of the plastic slide broke on the top arm (the one with the knurled knob), so when half in with this problem a gust of wind (we are talking hurricane i am sure, but only for a minute), sort of left me with a few other ploblems. So have to ring insurance tommorrow and also would like a contact for a mobile repairer
cheers

Your ears must be burning, I was just wondering whether you were still in Broome or not, looks like your back in Perth?
You could try this mob, they say they have a mobile service but I have not dealt with this company so can't vouch for them, see;

theres a couple of mobile awaning/annexe repairers in Perth. Try Mr Google for "mobile canvas (or awning) repairs in Perth", or phone a few caravan repairers and Dealers - they will give you contact phone numbers.
We had one come up from SOR to Yanchep - and great guy, knew what he was doing and reasonably priced (sorry - cant remember his name)

Now that's good service, are you at liberty to disclose who you are insured with?

Hey Vic. Its normal for your insurance company to find you a repairer or whatever/whoever you need when you make a claim.....if you've had an experience where they didn't - change insurance co's ))

Thinking about repairs I've had done in the past I believe you are right, from memory I think mine gave me a few choices they approved of..

caravans WA are coming wednesday to do the quote, have to pay a once only cost of $88 for call out fee., I am more than happy to pay that as it saves me towing the van around suburbia. No more charges incured when they come to it new one.
Have been told they dont normally repair but replace as there is a question re garantee with repairs
cheers
