I decided I would put this in here rather than Techie's Corner as it may get more exposure to forum members/visitors.
It seems to be fairly expansive advice/information and I would think it helpful. Of course, there may be expert advice forthcoming from informed members that may complement, expand (or challenge?) this information.
Thanks for that info John
very usefull information for most of us
Cheers John

Some good stuff in there John although I question what Collyn says about TV sets as there are no Australian made units (AFAIK) and I've never seen an Indian one : "High quality, locally-made TVs now draw a fraction of the energy of the older versions. The 12V units (mostly from India) draw a lot of current. "

I put a link to an article from 4X4 Adventure Mag, on the Techie' Corner that may be of interest.
