Hello fellow caravaners .If there are any mathemeticians out there, can you tell me how many ltrs of water are in my tanks they measure .5 x .2 x1.3 .it will only be an approximate as the tanks have rounded edges ,baffles ect, and you cant fill to 100% anyway but just an approx. will do .I hope I have mad sense.the van is 2nd hand and when we bought it we were made to think that the tanks were 2 at 95 ltrs each but I now no that is not the case. any help thankyou.

1.3m x 0.5m x0.2m = 0.13 cu m. 1cu m = 1000l therefore (with no losses etc) 130l/tank. Allowing for wall thickness, baffles etc then the 95/ sounds about right to me.

Maybe it's time to fill the tanks then empty them into a bucket and see how many you get. Slow process, but you'll get a definite answer.

Go to this page, you will find your tank (or a very similar one) listed. That will identify the size of it. Just remember that the top of the discharge fitting is a considerable distance from the bottom of the tank. When the water reaches this level the pump will start to draw air and not pump more water, or in other words the total capacity or your tank is not usable.

We bought a flow meter and it's great. Just fit click fittings in line and use when you fill. You can then see what's in your tank when guage reads 3/4 - 1/2 - or 1/4 full.
