We're travelling Binns Track soon, later this month. We are taking our Vista RV Crossover designed for such tracks. Our van, which is off road will be too wide and tall we believe. Will let you know more after we return.

Gaz n Shell,
We're back from Binns. We are thinking of hiring ourselves out as rain makers. Along the Oodnadatta Track we decided to stay at Farina for a couple of days. We discovered our auxiliary battery was playing up so had one sent to Port Augusta. Luckily the whole group decided to return with us otherwise they would have been stuck in Farina for several days due to rain and flooding. Result; couldn't do the Mt Dare to Old Andado section. Farina, by the way is a top place.
Our group's views on Binns. We wouldn't do it again. Why? Too dusty, too dirty, too much of the same. We decided it was a drive for a drive's sake. The weather was good, the company was good but it wasn't as interesting as we had hoped. Last year we did the Anne Beadell again and when we compared the two we decided that the reason it was so good was that it was varied and there were more areas to camp easily. It seems to be a feature of southern areas, better camping. That was our group's thoughts.
I do have some excellent photographs. I am glad we did it, but we won't do it, well not all of it, again. A couple of photographs, the track, scenery and our rig.
I'd still do this track if I were you because if the conditions are better it may well be pretty special.
G/day Bruce and Di
Thanks for the heads up on the track mate, sounds like she's a bit dry and dusty out there .lucky ya missed the rain on the Oodnadatta she can get a bit dodgy in the wet.
Yea ya right about Farina it's a top little spot,I hear their doin the old town up bit by bit,it was just bein started last time we went thru.
The Anne Beadell sounds good, I've got all of Lennys Tracks on my to do list.
G/day fellow nomads
