Unfortunately the Glenorchy Council has decided not to renew the CP lease as from July.
The Hobart Showgrounds (in Glenorchy) will have their new CP up and running by the time you are planning to be here.

I would not recommended Treasure Island. I have heard too many negative comments on all the parks in the chain. Have they vastly improved in the last 6 years. Another reason to not use them, their proprietors are the leading lights in the campaign against free camping.

Well Guys
I am a little embarrassed as this place is now closed, we have decided to book at Snug C'van Pk (South of Hobart) for one night, do our rubber necking through Hobart then stay at New Norfolk (North of Hobart) C'van Pk. I have been told these are pretty good with New Norfolk down hill from the Pub. Although not a real consideration, it just makes it easier to get back the Bus.

Parks I have stayed in and commuted to Hobart are - Barilla Holiday Park, Cambridge - Snug Beach Cabin and Caravan Park and New Norfolk Caravan Park - I can recommend these three. Others I have seen and would be suitable for you would be - Hobart Airport Tourist Park - Seven Mile Beach Cabin & Caravan Park
