New to the forum, my partner Margo and I (Doug) have just purchased our first bus motorhome. Its a 36ft International, fitted out with some work to do. It doesn't have any Solar which we want. Does anyone know of a company doing motorhome solar that can advise me, and fit, without ripping two arms and my remaining leg off? Also does anyone have experience with a 175Ltr EvaKool Platinum edition upright fridge? They look good, got a T+ rating, 12V/24V and can be run off Solar. Bit expensive, but if they are reliable, and good on power draw, then I guess worth it. We will be off power for long periods of time I think.
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug - welcome to the forum - hope your enjoy your time on here.
Don't know about the fridge, apart from the fact that those I've met with EvaKool seem extremely pleased with them. And for the Solar - I would go to Springers - in Lawnton, northside of Brissy, not far from PIne Rivers showground. Their service is great -even drove us home when we left the motorhome with them.

Awesome, Thanks Jules
The sales pitch was quiet good on the Fridge, would want to be good for the price, but then I have learn't there are some things you shouldn't scrimp on. Thanks for the tip for the Solar. Will give them a ring.

We bought the smaller 110L Evakool about 6 mths ago. Performance is good, even in quite hot weather and it is quiet. Be wary of the thermostat. Ours sits between 2 and 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Any higher and the vegies freeze The only mod has been a computer fan at the rear to help move the hot air.
