Perth is used to the the US Navy invading them. They don't make problems (the locals do that) and they inject (the brothels usually) huge amounts of money into Perth. Other than "I hate the USA" brigade, the rest of Perth love them. They are very polite (more so than many Aussies), big smiles and friendly. And not all go to the knock shops - many are married and buy up large for their wives and kids.

Yes the yanks are coming and the local Freo businesses will do very well, as for the goose that jumped into the pool from the 10th storey & broke both legs. He survived which is better than the Aussie footballer who jumped onto a Palm Tree in the states and he didn't So I guess when grog involved it just goes down to " it was a good idea at the time" which must blokes can be guilty of in their youth.

and they also make Perth (not just Freo) a lot more brighter in their various uniforms and its a novelty to see so many African Americans (no, this is not a racist remark for goodness sake) for us Westies that have so few normally.
