I know there is a camp there, I know its on a river and I know there is a higher ground and a lower ground.
What I don't know is how to find it. There is nothing on Wikicamps or Camps 7 that I can find.
I know it would be in Free and Budget Camping sub forum on here but after going back 5 or 6 pages I gave up.
Would like to stay there tomorrow night, anyone with further info would be appreciated.

Hooray for John, yeoeleven's blog. I just had an epiphany and was able to go into Johns block on the laptop. Cant get it while on the phone which is where I was at the time of asking.
I think I have found all the info needed to get there. As I can't delete the opening post I though I better come on and clarify.

Haha, better go google it myself. Hope I used the right word.
Yes, I will add to Wikicamps when I get there, with all the details. I was surprised it wasn't already there, nor in the Camps books.

CAMPS 7 QLD Site 102 - 23 57 49 S 151 09 11 E.
Cheers - John

Will be interesting tomorrow trying to find it for real.

Thanks from me too Brickies. Tried to find it on my way back from Wuruma last time I was there, and got so confused, I gave up.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Easy to find, right on the highway, not far past the turnoff to the town of Calliope - the dump point is in town, on a block of land opposite the pub - great bakery in town, and a really good supermarket.

When I'm looking at or researching a camp site, after I have found it, I use satellite view or hybrid view if the map has it. Wikicamps and Google maps does. this gives me a good look at layout of the roads into the site and of the site itself.
I have stayed there for a couple of overnighters. The south side was still open a few weeks after Christmas.
I know there is a camp there, I know its on a river and I know there is a higher ground and a lower ground.
