Yep, it's not nice for sure and I tell you that for free. Here around Ulladulla NSW south coast is no where near as bad as further north but enough to keep me stranded until it clears. No way am I heading north in this weather, even if I have to change a few plans.

Stay safe, all our NSW GN's - have seen photos and it looks pretty bad - don't park near trees, stay out of floodwater - hopefully it will be over soon, and the cleanup can begin.

AK, that explains the plane that went over the other day with all these Kiwis leaning out the plane window waving the "Aussie" flag

Not in a caravan, but at home in Port Stephens. Still no power, been off since 3am last Tuesday morning, when a tree took down the power lines across the road. Only just got mobile phone coverage this afternoon too. So at the moment we're running off a generator and I'm using my mobile phone as a wifi hotspot. We didn't have any damage to our house, just a few big tree branches came down. The bloke across the road had a big Eucalypt crash through his roof though, so we spent a wet day tuesday cutting it back so we could get a tarp over the hole in his roof (about a metre and a half across). Lots of power lines down all over the neighbourhood, but Ausgrid are gradually getting around to them. Hopefully we'll get power back on mid week. Luckily we have solar hot water though, so now that the sun is out (well except for today) we can have hot showers.
