We joined Friends of Boondooma a few years back, Volunteered for work and stayed for about three weeks.

Stayed at Boondooma Homestead a couple of weeks ago (mid Nov) Very peaceful, nice short grassed area with power and we were very handy to toilets and showers, both unisex. Actually, we were the only 2 vans there. Will need leveling blocks.
Cost was $18.00 a night 2 persons with power and amenities though water is tank and therefore it is expected you don't fill your tanks.
Heaps better than staying at the Boondooma Dam that is $33.00 for night with power and amenities.
Boondooma Homestead is West of Murgon In the South Burnett area.
That's West of Gympie to Murgon then 95 Kms west again to Boondooma Homestead.
The historic homestead is now officially a camping ground.
$5 per person per night. Flush toilets only. Bring own water.( Only dam water)
Some powered sites.
1st night is $10 P.P. which includes a guided tour of the homestead buildings.
Great group of enthusiastic volunteers run & refurbish the homestead.
2 big yearly events.
Anzac long weekend--Country music muster.
3rd weekend in August--Scots in the bush.
