Just what we need. More of these sites and forums to divide the efforts of the travellers. How many of these are you each going to assist in keeping them up to date? Lets have a couple more and the clientele will be so divided that none of them will be kept in good order. Let us just support the early established ones so we have the full force of the travellers getting just a few fully up to date. Remember the old adage "divide and conquer." If we encourage the battle of the free camping sites the battle scars will be showing and none of them will be in good order.

I was not having a crack at you in particular. I was more bemoaning the fact that everyone wants to be a star and produce their own glossy site instead of getting with the strength and assisting to improve what we already have. The more sites we have the less the strength of each one of them.

The site has been around for a while, I first found it about July 2014, regardless, the more the better, competition inspires excellence.
The strong will prosper whilst the also rans will fall by the wayside.

That may apply to commercial enterprises but with all these sites that are maintained by the users it just means that none of them will develop their full potential if the user base is fractured.

The concept still applies Peter, as a matter of interest even if it didn't what would you suggest be done about it?

There is not much that anyone can do about the proliferation of the new sites. I will just keep up with my interest in the older listings like CAW, Gary Stratton's MyParkList and Badgers Reports.

All very well but My Park List & Badgers don't show many free and low cost sites.

We only use Wikicamps and Camps 7, have no problem locating free camps.

Bill, that's why any one site is not enough. You use these with CAW to get the lower cost and free camps. MyParkList is the most complete caravan park site there is. When Gary set it up he went through most of the publications and yellow pages he could find. There were not too many missed and CF members plugged the holes. Since then we users have assisted in keeping in keeping it up to date when parks have opened, closed and changed names.
