We are upsizing our caravan (to 1200kg tare) and need to get a better tow vehicle.
We are very limited with $$ budget and are looking at around $6K.
We are considering a 3L turbo Jackeroo, 2.8L Pajero and 2.8L Nissan Patrol.
We would like any and all feedback to help us decide on the best vehicle.

Welcome to the gang Diane & Ken, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I can't see why one of those tugs you mention wouldn't do the job at hand.
It's all a personal thing really what tug you use to pull a den with.

Is there any reason why you suggest diesel tugs?......petrol will do the job just as well plus on an older vehicle will be less costly to maintain especially in servicing costs. They are also cheaper to buy given the year model.
For 6K you can buy a BA or BF Falcon sedan/wagon both which are excellent tow vehicles with half the mileage of a diesel tug plus the parts are very cheap and readily available.
