Just had some feedback on Parry's Beach, near Denmark WA (21 kms West) from someone who has just returned.
There are some much older threads if anyone wants to search for them but I am making this update a new one.
They have a volunteer Caretaker on site and they live in a caravan near the entry. They guide you down to one of 40 caravan/camping sites available on a quad bike.
Fees are $10 per night or $50 for a 7 day week. You can stay for a max of 21 days but payment is only accepted in 7 day lots, however you will not lose your site if you decided to pay this way and stay for the 21 days. After that you must leave but can return later if sites are still available for a further 21 days.
Fantastic spot, just returned from a week down there, our 4th time. Don't forget the scenery at William bay/ Greens Pool/ Elephant Rocks and Helliars Beach.

You've got to ask yourself, if a wonderful place like this is able to offer such a great facility at this sort of cost, why can't other areas do likewise.

I went looking for web sites listing the camp site. There are plenty but only one gave any directions and that simply was "the end of Parry Road." So I went to Camps Oz Wide to find it. I find that it is 28 km from Denmark, turn S 22 km W of D onto Parry Road for 6 km. Why oh why cant people give full directions?

From Denmark, head 22km West of Denmark on South Coast Highway turn south at Parry Road turn off.
Follow bitumen Road for 6 kms to end at Parry Beach.

I just checked it on wikicamps. They said it is 3577 ks from me.Might try it out tomorrow

I would imagine that being in South WA as the subject says that would be the case. Maybe on your next trip over.

Great place to stay for a while, camped there whilst on my round Australia trip in 2012.
Great place but unfortuneatly when I looked in last year its not suitable for tall rigs due to very low tree branches
suitable for campers and poptops.
There is an overflow area which tall rigs can use for a night or two but not the same as being camped at the actual campground.

If you're planning on going (and it's a beautiful spot) be aware of height restrictions with your vans. Pop tops and trailers as well as tents are best.
Bugger! My Hino is 2.85m high - might have to deflate the tyres a tad to limbo under the bar...

That would knock about 60% of New or Dirt/Off Road Vans and most Mid to Larger sized Motorhomes out for entry to that site for a Long Term Stay. Bugger.!!

We stayed at Cosy Corner just down the road. No Cost, not a lot of room but spot to park for my 3mtr high rig.

Yes, we stayed down the bottom close to the beach, but there is an area up top where there a lot less trees, but if it is blowing, you cop it up there. Lovely spot!

Yeoeleven took this photo of a visitor (tiger snake) to one of the two ablution blocks;
We are here now.. $5 per head..solar showers that may or may not be hot..$5 for a wheel barrow of firewood .each site has a fire drum..2.7 height limit due to branches. We are parked in the volunteer area just on the edge of the park as Lens van is too tall with the aircon on the roof. Very quiet here as it is mid winter and a tad on the cold side. Only draw back is the loos are right up the back of the park and we are up the front.

We stayed there 5 years ago and sounds like nothing has changed. Loved the spot, even had 2 solar hot shower blocks, what more could you ask for.
