GF have you checked that the socket is pushed all the way in to the inlet on your cvan?

there should be circuit breakers inside the van, check these are ok too. They are often located near the power inlet connection.

airconditioners are usually wired in and connected to a circuit breaker.

let us know how you go with all that

Done Frank..still nothing....the RCD <circuit breakers> is/are internal located immediately behind the power cord inlet.
They never tripped...I have turned off and reset RCD and circuit breakers to on...still nothing...
When ever I have had any problem say with toaster on at same time as another appliance the RCD trips and I reset....has not tripped this time....
I can't think of what else to check....I'm going to get one of those RVD-EMR devices fitted in terms of previous posts/advice however with being Easter that will have to wait...

just to confirm things can you bypass the ampfibian?

if still no power then go further back up the line to the source of supply to your lead.

Voila!...many hands make light/power work!...I ran a different better quality extension lead direct to Ampfibian and plugged in the kettle and it started to boil...<I was not aware I could plug a conventional male 10A plug into the 15A van female..but it worked..made sure I wasn't standing in a puddle too>
If only the Ampfibian had some sort of on/power lamp to indicate it was receiving power I would have known it was not receiving power ..... there was an extension cord to an extension cord in the garage I currently had it plugged into...one of these extensions plugs had moved out slightly enough to lose connection...the first extension female had power light to indicate power got to that point....and I assumed.........you know the rest....your process of elimination suggestions worked...

With new extension cord direct to Ampfibian all is working......thank you all for your input.....something goes wrong in a van and one realises how many things can be affected and so quickly..

I actually had a sin on my soul which I wasn't going to muddy the waters with, until there was no other answer to above situation....I recently fitted an 'Ezy Eye' inlet into my van wall to allow all weather access for my new Sat TV antenna........put it through the wall about 12" away from the RCD and nearest power point supplying the TV....I used a stud finder and all was clear in that particular spot however I realized there must have been quite busy behind the van wall in that area to smart charger/fridge etc. etc.....had bad feeling I may have drilled through a wire that may show up when used...the 240V power was off when I drilled of course.....I never attempt any electrical work however I thought installing the Ezy Eye may be DIY stuff........

yes drilling holes in caravans can be a very risky business if you have no idea where the hidden services are running.

Great outcome GF. Next time you are at the big green tool box get yourself an electrical volt stick, this will give you a pretty good picture of where the cables are, BTW you need the power on to do this, just switch the stick on and the light will glow or it will beep when you run over a cable behind the wall. Not the tool of choice for sparkies but if you are going to drill a hole or two it pays to have a fair idea where the cables are.
