My turn to ask for advice. Does anyone have any experience with Fusion AGM batteries in the 100 - 120ah range.
Looking to replace our 4 X 8 year old Absorbed Power batteries with Fusion as have been offered them at wholesale price.
Looking for experience and reliability over years if possible.
Other posts seem to rate them well.

I'm no wiz bang on batteries but I would ask about warranty and life expectancy. Also your charging circuit may need modification as I believe these AGMs need stepped chargers. That depends on what year and type of caravan you have.

BTW messel and miller were my childhood heroes as well. Why is it so messel?

There are many good brands to get. There are many things to consider but the big thing I suggest you look at is what the application the battery is designed for. Some years back the members of another forum were not willing to pay the extra $30 or so to purchase Ritar DC series of batteries. They were purchasing Ritar batteries that were designed for standby service and wondering why they failed in the cyclic application we give them in our vans. When selecting any battery check that they are designed for cyclic applications.

Hi Baz
I've had a 105 a/h fusion in the van for about 12 months now. No problems. It's charged by 180 watt solar through a steca regulator. It cycles between 14 volts (charging) & drops to about 12.5 volts overnight. Does this every day.
It runs a 32 lt waeco, led lights, 15" tv for about 4-5 hrs.

I have had 2 fusion. batteries 105 ah in my van for 18months and have just been told they need replacing. I have contacted fusion to be told they only have 12months warranty in a caravan so be warned not a 3 year warranty as they would have you believe. I feel ripped off.
