Been members for a while - just reading - and thought it's about time we posted as newbies. Our only experience is a six month MH trip around the UK and Europe last year (bought Le Van on a buyback basis). The whole exercise has reinforced our decision to abandon ship (been keen cruising yachties for many years) for tar and gravel cruising. After agonising for a few months we've just settled on a MH (Sunliner Pinto). Now looking forward to meeting some of you on the road. The GN community sounds very much like the cruising community up to a few years ago . . .
Our plan is to cruise locally (out of Sydney) and then packing up, renting out, and hi ho'ing for the Great Southland early next year.

Welcome fo the gang Sailortoo, enjoy here and out in the playground.
There are no icebergs or tidal waves in this playground as out on the ocean waves. So no need to have that sinking feeling.

so two old (??) salties become two old roadies lol. Welcome to the Nomad society and enjoy your travel. You will probably find like many of us that once you start, you get itchy feet whenever you stop for a few months and live in one of those..........those..........house things with screaming kids/mowers/neighbours in general/the snail mail................................

Welcome me hearties. Only difference you can't anchor-up and drop a line over the side to catch dinner, but, still a great life on the tar/dirt.
