I could not find anything for coordinates in settings. However when I select coordinates, it gives me a format option. The last option is degrees, minutes, seconds. Which is the camps reference. The gps was set to the middle one. I have no idea what the top to are.
Is this from the Garmin please?? I have been thinking of ditching my new Garmin because I couldn't get coordinates to work either.
So if I set to the bottom setting in the pic all will be good??

Yes Doug that should work for you.
the top one is decimal degrees, the next one down is degrees and decimal minutes and the bottom one is degrees, minutes, seconds.
just for info the rescue services like westpac rescue chopper, NSWSES use the second one.

Sorry Doug, I posted the question about 15 topics back. I've never had any joy with coordinates in my garmin. Change the format to degrees, minutes, seconds & All should be good. Camps gives the seconds as only 2 digits, simply put .0 for the third digit eg. 33.0
Mine must have been set to the middle one from new

Most GPS navigators will let you set your preference. I tend to use Deg, Dec Minutes myself. Can't think why now, but i think that may be the way I got used to it using a hand held GPS and fishing waypoints.
