Gday...
The Newell runs from Goondiwindi to Tocumal - the entire length of NSW.
So EXACTLY where are these "Police and RMS" going to 'blitz'.
Or - perhaps they are going to drive up and down with their portable scales?
As Frank sez - some reference for the 'information' would certainly be helpful to travellers.
Cheers - and thanks for the "weighty" information John

John. Of course none of us are overweight - I can still see my toes when I put my foot out in front of me LOL
You would be one of the few out there who would know for sure that you never exceed your 'van ATM !
Most of us do, given the little difference between the tare and ATM which manufacturers allow. Add gas and fill up the water tanks and many vans are over straight away without food, clothing etc

Hi All.
That is real nice of them to advertise they are going to have a enforcement.
This would be a first but things do change.

Ha ha ha. What a joke these Blitz's are. I was in Dubbo a few years ago and they were set up to blitz all trucks coming south on the highway.
Result - a massive parking area of trucks 2 kilometres north of the road block waiting for the cops and RMS to close up shop. UHF is a wonderful thing for warning the truckies.

We are leaving Kalgoorlie to head to Goondiwindi at end of April for a farm-sit.
Lets hope it finishes before then
We might bypass Dubbo from Warren to Eumungerie lol

I am coming up that way later on in the year with an empty van so I will collect all the throw outs from the over weighter,s and have a garage sale.
