How do these things read, are they accurate? Mine reads both tanks are 1 third full yet no water flows.

G'day again. one more thing that you could do is to open the drain plug on the tank to see if there is water in the tank. the unit in my van seems to be reasonably accurate. also when you when you turn on your tap do you hear the pump run? it may be a pump problem.

A lot depends on how the tank sensor was mounted, if it reads full long before the tank is full that could indicate your problem. Also is the van on a lean? (Water is in the end with the sensor and the outlet up hill and above the water.

Thanks. I will try the drain plug in the morning and see if any water comes out. The van was level at the time, so all good there. I guess I know now that a third of a tank left, means empty

Depending on the type of sensors. There is the Jayco type which 3 separate senors, or the otther which is like a dip stick - ie there is only one cable rather than 3 separate wires. If it is just the one then your problem may be that the dip stick has moved to more horizontal rather than on an angle down from top to the bottom of the tank. These are held in place by the nut and black grommet which expands as the nut is tightened. Some thing you can look at when under the van to empty the tanks.

These Water Level monitors are just "THAT" Monitors and are as inaccurate as most Automotive Fuel Tank Gauges in that they are only a guide to show when
Full and Empty. Any indications in between are only a guesstimate of the reading level. If you want to get a proper idea of Water Tank Litre usage
purchase either the Topargee Flow Meter (approx $80 and quick delivery) or I ordered one through Futurlec ($36 but be prepared to wait mine took 4 mths) but
it works great. You can tell exactly what water capacity is left and used.

No, not resolved yet. I need to get underneath the van and unscew the caps and see how much water drains out. That is a problem at the moment as I damaged my knee setting up the caravan for a five day weekend. I am waiting for it to come good
