G'day Bill,
We have a 2002 model Freedom Outback single axle.
Bought it over 2 years ago, and while I haven't taken it too far yet, it has handled some rough roads and a really nice bog hole very well!
They (mine does anyway) also have a galvanised chassis and a 150mm draw bar, 15" wheels and off road tyres and shockers.
I guess the cabinetry isn't super, but it seems to have held together well.
Have done a few mods since buying it, added a couple of 120ah agm batteries and 160 watt fixed panels, water pump, Anderson plugs etc.
Just waiting to do a really decent trip in it....

Are the panels on the poptop? I would be worriedby the weight. I have a turbo courier4wd and an tow 1.8 ton.Thanks.

Yep, panels on the poptop. Still fairly easy to lift roof with one person.
I think atm is 1740kg on my plate.

I would like o get a more powerful ute but the courier is great and reliable to the max. I have fitted overrider springs on the back, so I should ave no probs. Thanks for the help. Bill
