on a recent trip some nomads had a game of outdoor bowls, using kitty, cord square for mat area you peg on grass, and instead of bowls, they used like a frisbee type unit to throw to kitty.
sorry, bit vague, but does anyone know what I mean and what it's called?

Possibly "disk bowls" - played it up in Ravenshoe QLD with some people -lots of fun!

The game is played by most NACC clubs and CMCA.
