Welcome to the forum JackieP. I hope you get as much from it as we do.
I am sure it won't be to long and you will start getting answers to your questions. Ask and I am sure your answers will come thick
and fast.

Hi Jackiep welcome to membership of the forum you will find some great people here, on your big lap the best advice that I can give is take your time and talk to the locals as well as tourist info centres, don't set too many deadlines and check but there are not too many places where you need to book in advance outside school holidays.
We have found Camps 6 and Wikicamps very useful when touring especially the comments from other travellers in Wikicamps.

thanks for the welcome. We have Camps6 which I am using to check out places we can stay along with google. Don't plan on rushing everything so not working to a schedule ( hoping to make it a max of 4 hours travel on days we are on the move, us oldies cant rush these things )

Hi Folks. A big welcome from us as well:)
As well as your Camps book, suggest you find the $8 to get a years subscription to Wikicamps. You can download it as an App onto your Apple or Android tablet or run it on Windows 8.1 (not an earlier version), or even your smart phone. Its just had a big up-grade and has a few teething bugs which theyre sorting out, so suggest you give it a week before getting it. You can download the full App for a free trial period.
As well as having member posts, its real benefit is a map of Australia. You can zoom into wherever you want and see what caravan parks and free camps are in the area. Most have lots of comments, pics etc from people who have previously used that spot
Enjoy your big trip. You will be amazed at how little you will see ad many nomads just keep touring the big circle over and over again using different roads and going into different areas
