Try pressing the control key and tapping the plus key on your keyboard at the same time.

You can also press control key and scroll with your mouse up or down in size. It is your own settings that determine the font size.

Hi Jules,
Did that and it fixed it
Not sure what I did to it to make it change to small before. There are so many hidden things in Windows to catch me out I note that when I use the touch-pad on the laptop and then plug in a mouse, which I prefer, and do not turn off the touch-pad, sometimes the occasional brush on the touch pad causes odd things.
Thanks to all who answered. I will look at the other fixes too and see what they do ??
cheers to all Jaahn

Hi Jenzari,
Mine is a Toshiba but there are thousands of models
Above the touchpad there is a very small button that turns it off, and on. As usual it has some obsqure markings on it.
good luck jaahn

My Acer does turns the touch pad on and off with the Function and F7 keys.
Approx. 25 years ago, when I was more stupid and "bull at a gate" than I am now, I had my first laptop with a mouse button in the middle of the key board. The curser used to keep moving so I went to a lot of trouble to take it apart and CUT the ribbon that went to this button. Son Matt, in secondary school, told me he could have turned it off!!!!!!!

On my old Toshiba Satellite it's the function and F9 key. Have a look at your F keys and look for a rectangle with 2 smaller rectangles at the bottom and the same symbol with a Ø through it, in the same colour as your FN key.
