Welcome to the forum. I've had Wikicamps for ages and never had a problem, it just worked. Perhaps if you give us some more detail about what's not happening we maybe able to help.
Regards
Dave

I too have had wiki for many moons now Sommer with no problems emcountered at anytime. One thing I wuld like though is a map with all sites in one view. Wiki is only as good as WE make it really. We need to update and add as we go.
Hope it works for you soon.

I have it too. I was told it only works on iPad etc, not Windows PCs.
What are you using?

if youre not seeing the home page which is brown background with a whole pile of icons for various features, then email the site administrator, Russ, at russ@wikicamps.com
Hes extremely helpful and will assist you (even though hes on holiday in NZ at the moment). Wiki is a GREAT site - but as Doug has already said, it needs US to enter new free camp (and other posts like caravan parks and techo) details.
It seems to be very confusing when you 1st jump onto it, but its not. I guess the most complicated is the maps section - being either on-line or off-line and using the filters. If you can actually get onto the brown icons page have a look at Chat and then look at a thread called "how to use" - or something like that.
It seems complicated, but its not after a bit of playing. YOu will find you send a lot of time playing with it and soon master how to use it
And it does work on android and the later versions of Windows - its not a solely Apple based system
Stick with it - it will really be useful to you

I have on both iPad and Win 8.1 laptop and never had problem. In the early days I could not figure out the filter system for sites and stuffed it all up ... Just deleted and re downloaded to get back to the default settings ( does not cost anything to do this no matter how many times you do it) .... This was the one and only problem ever had on either systems .... Great App ... from what I have heard the only people who are not 100% happy are those with the cheaper android tablets that do not have location services but I understand there may be a workaround but not sure what ...

I have it on a Win8 tablet - no problems but just no GPS locator due to it not being on the tablet.

I've been using Wikicamps on phone and tablet for a couple of years now with no problem. No GPS locator on my tablet, but I usually know roughly where I am
I'd suggest re-installing if it isn't working, but it could also be that you need to adjust the settings. Good luck with it because I have found it invaluable.

From the Wikicamps home page tap site filters then remove all filters. Back to home page and tap the "View Map" icon. Remove any pin already dropped by tapping the "Remove" icon on the top row of icons. I then center the map around where I want the info and tap the "Drop Pin" icon on the top row of icons. Then tap the "View List" icon again on that same row of icons. That will list every location radiating in distance out from the pin.

Glad you have it up and running, but you should not have to pay again ... I have deleted and redownloaded on both my laptop and iPad and never paid twice to either App Store. Anyway, main thing is you have it all sorted now
you will love using it and if you are like me, you will use the cumbersome CAW book to start your campfire .....
Cheers

Hi there, it is not compatible with Win7 ...... However, There was someone who posted about installing some other program first (unrelated to Wiki) that would let you use it on Win7 machines .... Check the tech forum as I believe it may be there ...... I am not that IT savvy, so it was a foreign language to me And I always let my IT expert do that sort of stuff.

I just tried downloading Bluestacks and then WikiCamps to my Windows 7 Laptop, and was feeling really pleased about being able to use Android Apps on my Laptop, when up popped a notice saying that if I like using the software I must subscribe at $2 per month. Now I'm not saying this is too expensive, only that they should have advised that at the outset. Anyway, I have bad experience of auto debits and am not prepared to set one up so have uninstalled the software. If I could simply pay $24 per year I would be OK with that but the only way I have been able to stop other auto debits was to cancel the relevant bank account and I'm not going there again. Damn, it was a good system and with my tablet malfunctioning..................
