Possibly not the sharpest plan for eliminating a snake

Like some friends of mine many many years ago hunting ducks in a flat bottemed punt. A snake climbed into the boat and one of them took a shot at it with a shotgun, blowing a 2 inch hole in the bottem of the boat. Luckily they were only in two feet of water at the time. Landy

They should have knocked a hole in the other end to let the water out
