I'm sure they do GF, but a lot of the members of the public don't who are led to believe this bloke is now a paragon of virtue.
I don't really care about his chances, but I do care about the lives his dealings have ruined in the past and those he would have ruined if he had not been caught, my sympathy is with them. He had no concern for them, only his own selfish financial motives.
He took the risk well knowing the laws of the country he was caught in and while I don't agree with the death penalty, it is a risk he took and their laws whatever we think of them will no doubt be applied.

The food must be good in the jail. He's put on a lot of weight since the first photos.

I do feel a bit for there parents depending on how much they knew about there sons career choice, but not a scrap of feelings for them

I think family members have to supply their food while in jail but I'm not sure. I don't know how you would get on if you had no family or no money to buy in food.

Yes especially compassion for the aged mother of Chan who was estranged from him due to his conduct previously. I suppose a lot would depend on whether any other family members were involved (eg; siblings etc) and whether they benefited from the drug trade via Chan.
