Shut the front gate! Never. I was at that CVP 3 years ago Lance. The only thing I can say about the CVP is that as I drove in, the movie Deliverance came to mind

we have a very large, but swallow large not far from us at a place called Joondalup in northern suburbs of Perth.
It usually dries right out each summer as it relies on the water table underneath it to keep it full, but we're busy depleting the entire water table under Perth to keep our lawns green.
Funnily enough though, it hasn't dried out this year - no doubt the level will have dropped, but it looks full to its usual edges. And we haven't had rain here since October last (other than some scattered heavy showers from a storm over a 24 hour period in January) which was far too little to make much difference to anything green or wet

Wow - Beaufort Lake has dried out since we were there earlier this year!!!!! Nice park, good owners.
Here is another one drying up ,this is at Beaufort in Victoria ,would be nice here when the lake was full.

Not as bad as this one though...
It's the Aral sea Woolly, between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan..
