I've not felt like contributing to the forum for a while. But I think it's time to push aside the fugue and bore you with my views and opinions once again.
My partner in life and Wife of 38 years has gone and Retired!
Oh dear
Jealous...To right I am! To think I "have to work" (sorry I didn't mean to swear) for another 8 years is depressing. Yes I know I can stop working now but unless Mr Xlotto does the right thing it not an option just yet.
Over 30 years service in aged care left her burned to a crisp, with no desire to go back. I can't blame her one Iota. I'm envious of the contented look on her face when she gets up at the "Crack of Noon"when I'm home.
So now we move to the next phase of our lives and the adventure continues
Time to plan some longer trips with the caravan. No more trying to find weekends where our rosta's coincide to give us a day here and there. Now that's opened the field a whole lot
I don't think we will ever be the type of couple to sell up and hit the road full time but I'm sure there some mega trips to be had.
See you out in the big playground guys
Jeff

Kendo hi.
Now don't be jealous of other people misfortunes, those that needed to retire so other people could step up to the mark and earn a little money.
Also don't wish your life away as the next 8 years will bolt and then you will be saying where did they go.
My wife and I have been together coming up to 45 years and couples like us are also coming harder to find. Congratulations.

Hi Kendo
Don't worry about the 8 years, they'll go in a flash ... except for the last six months or so. I'll be heading off into the playground later in the year, and after telling myself to not think about the big day for the last few years, it's getting harder to not count down the months and days as it gets closer! Hope you can fit in a few decent trips in the meantime.
Cheers
Joe

Well done Mrs Kendo, great decision and I tell you that for free.
Kendo, you enjoy those weekends away and any extended trips you can sneak in. There is a big Tattslotto night this Saturday and I am willing to share it with you and 18 others even. I'm not greedy.
